 Our managing attorney and founder, Elizabeth Munro Farrugia, is a trial attorney licensed in both California and Florida. Elizabeth, who began her practice as a personal injury trial attorney in Florida, has always fought for the injured. She has recovered tens of millions of dollars for her clients and stayed by their side from the beginning of their case through the end. She is patient, understanding, but fierce and will never give up. Elizabeth is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a prestigious invite-only organization for trial attorneys who have exhibited truly exemplary reputations for professionalism and advocacy.

The name Leonidas derives from the leader of the ancient society,  Sparta. The term Spartan has remained synonymous with strength, perseverance and honor. The Spartans were known for having a small but skilled military that was feared by many rivals. King Leonidas was by far the most famous ruler of the Spartans and for good reason. He was notorious for leading the Spartans into battle against the Persian army who enslaved their people and overtook the weak.  When the Persian emperor, Xerxes, called for the Spartans to turn over their weapons, King Leonidas invited their army to "come and get them". When his small, but fearless army faced Xerxes' army in battle their motto was "Spartans never retreat. Spartans never surrender." Never retreat and never surrender is the motto of this law firm. Elizabeth Munro Farrugia, our founder and lead trial attorney, loved the name King Leonidas so much that she ultimately named her first dog after him. He passed away in October, 2022 and is dearly missed.
